Eagle People Book Club: “Picnic at Hanging Rock” by Joan Linday

The Eagle People Book Club is intended to be fun, informal and a great way to connect. It is open to former students, staff, parents, partners, friends and all the other valued members of our Daramalan Community! No pressure: we are only meet once every two months.

“Picnic at Hanging Rock” by Joan Lindsay will be our read in June. Another mystery and another classic.

Picnic at Hanging Rock is an Australian historical fiction novel by Joan Lindsay. The novel, set in 1900, is about a group of female students at an Australian girls’ boarding school who vanish at Hanging Rock while on a Valentine’s Day picnic, and the effects the disappearances have on the school and local community.
