Nathan Caesar

It is with much sadness and heavy hearts that we share that on Friday 27 February, Nathan Caesar (1992) passed away.

Nathan is the son of staff alumni Ms Wendy Wade, who taught Mathematics and later served as Assistant Head of Maths at Daramalan College from 1984 through to 2016.

Nathan was a son, brother, godfather, uncle, amazing dad and a friend to all who met him. He lived an adventurous and varied life, working in many different areas. Whether it was CSIRO in seed collection, working as a chef, or, in more recent years, industrial design—where he expressed his creativity through metal sculptures and boat refitting, among many other projects—Nathan excelled at everything he dedicated his energy to.

Nathan fought a long and difficult battle with cancer, enduring 38 rounds of triple chemotherapy and several operations. Throughout his journey, he demonstrated extraordinary grit, determination and strength. His incredible positivity was inspiring to everyone.

Nathan is survived by his two children, Max (aged 15) and Holly (aged 11).

His passing is a devastating loss.

Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
