Maddy Marshall (2013)

It is my sad duty to let you know of the passing of one of our more recent alumna. Madeline (Maddy) Marshall, from the Class of 2013, passed away last Thursday 28 April, aged just 26. She was diagnosed with leukaemia over four years ago and died peacefully in Brisbane surrounded by her family, including partner Spencer.
She was a much-loved student at Dara, involving herself in a host of extra-curricular activities but excelled in cycling. In Year 12, she won the bronze medal at the Junior Women’s Oceania Road Race Championship before going on to represent Australia in the junior women’s road race at the World Championships in Italy.
